Keysight M9048B PXIe System Module with PCIe Gen 3 x8 and 7.9 GB/s Link Throughput in 3U PXIe Module Format

The Keysight M9048B PXIe system module turns a PXIe chassis into an extension of an ordinary desktop or rack mount PC. Fitted in slot 1 of the chassis, it carries a PCIe Gen 3 x8 host connection from the PC to the PXIe backplane, so PXIe instruments appear as standard PCIe devices in the operating system — no embedded chassis controller is needed.

The module is the usual upgrade path for systems that started on Gen 2 backplanes and now run into bandwidth limits. It is also a practical spare for test benches where a single PC drives several chassis, or where an embedded controller has failed and a host card keeps the rack running while the controller is repaired.
