Product Description
Fluke 434-II Three-Phase Power Quality and Energy Analyzer

The Fluke 434-II is part of the 430 Series II family of three-phase power quality and energy analyzers. It helps plant engineers, electrical contractors and facility managers locate, predict, prevent and troubleshoot power quality problems in three-phase and single-phase power distribution systems, from the service entrance down to the individual load.
Built on Fluke's patented Unified Power Measurement (UPM) method, the 434-II goes beyond conventional power measurement. It separates the energy wasted by harmonics, by unbalance and by reactive power, then converts that waste into real money through the Energy Loss Calculator — so an energy saving project can be justified with a hard return-on-investment figure instead of an estimate.

Key Features
  • Unified Power Measurement (UPM): simultaneous measurement of classical power parameters (Steinmetz), IEEE 1459-2000 power values, detailed loss analysis and unbalance analysis.
  • Energy Loss Calculator: quantifies unusable power caused by harmonics and unbalance and totals the fiscal cost of wasted kWh using a user-defined cost per kWh.
  • Power Inverter Efficiency: simultaneously measures AC output power and DC input power with an optional DC current clamp, giving direct efficiency readings for inverters and drive systems.
  • Energy and power measurement: Vrms, Arms, Wfull, Wfund, VAfull, VAfund, VAharmonics, VAunbalance, var, PF, DPF, Cosφ, forward and reverse energy.
  • Harmonics analysis: DC and harmonics 1 to 50 with IEC 61000-4-7 grouping, inter-harmonics, THD on volts, amps and watts, plus K factor.
  • Unbalance analysis: negative and zero sequence voltage and current percentages with phase angle display and phasor diagram.
  • Automatic Trending and Logger: every displayed measurement is recorded automatically without setup; up to 150 PQ parameters can be logged at user-defined intervals, with recording times from 1 hour up to 1 year.
  • Dips, swells and inrush: half-cycle Vrms and Arms event detection with programmable thresholds and inrush current duration capture.
  • System Monitor: ten power quality parameters on a single screen evaluated against the EN50160 power quality standard, with IEC 61000-4-30 flagging of unreliable readings.
  • Highest safety rating in the industry: 600 V CAT IV / 1000 V CAT III rated for use at the service entrance.
  • Four flexible current probes: i430-Flexi-TF thin flex probes supplied as standard, fitting into the tightest cable trays and switchgear compartments, covering 0.5 A to 6000 A.
  • Up to 8 hours of operation per charge on the BP290 Li-ion battery pack, with 8 GB SD card memory and PowerLog analysis software for graphs and reports.
