Chroma 19070 Sentry Hipot Tester with Programmable 5kV AC 6kV DC Output Open Short Check and 1MΩ to 50GΩ Insulation Resistance Measurement

The Sentry 19070 Hipot Tester series provides two models to choose from: the Sentry 19071 for AC Hipot testing, and the Sentry 19073, which combines both AC and DC Hipot with insulation resistance (IR) measurements into a single compact unit.

The O.S.C (Open Short Check) function verifies connection integrity between the instrument and DUT (Device Under Test) before electrical safety testing. This prevents false PASS results from bad connections, lead issues, or relay oxidation, and protects test instruments from damage caused by short-circuited DUTs.

The system measures capacitive load values to detect open or short circuit conditions, ensuring effective testing and instrument protection.
