Chroma 61703 Programmable AC Source with 4500VA Output 15-1200Hz Frequency Range and AC+DC Mode for Power Simulation

The Chroma Programmable AC source model 61700 series delivers pure, 5-wire, 3-phase AC power. Unlike traditional 3-phase AC sources, it includes low power rating models at very competitive costs. Users can program voltage and frequency while measuring critical output characteristics on its LCD display. This provides the ideal solution for simulating various input conditions of UUT (Unit Under Test) in R&D and QA applications, as well as commercial applications ranging from laboratory testing to mass production.

The 61700 series supplies output voltage from 0 to 300VAC, configurable individually for each phase. Users can also set phase angles from 0° to 360°, enabling simulation of unbalanced 3-phase power. With a wide output frequency range from 15 to 1200Hz, it's suitable for avionics, marine, and other specialized applications. The AC+DC mode extends output functionality to simulate abnormal situations when power lines contain DC offset.

Utilizing state-of-the-art PWM technology, the 61700 series generates exceptionally clean AC output with typical distortion less than 0.3%. The integrated power factor correction circuit ensures higher efficiency and delivers more output power.

Advanced DSP technology enables precision high-speed measurements including RMS voltage, RMS current, true power, power factor, current crest factor, and more.

The 61700 series offers optional transient voltage output functions including LIST, PULSE, STEP, and INTERHARMONICS modes. Users can easily program various waveforms for immunity testing. The system can be controlled via user-friendly softpanel through GPIB or RS-232 interfaces. The softpanel includes a waveform editor capable of editing up to 40th order harmonic components, allowing the 61700 series to output custom distorted waveforms.
