Product Description
Rohde Schwarz FSL6 6 GHz RF Spectrum Analyzer 10 Hz RBW for Precision RF Testing
Rohde & Schwarz FSL6 RF Spectrum Analyzer — 9 kHz to 6 GHz

The Rohde & Schwarz FSL6 is a compact, high-performance spectrum analyzer designed for a wide range of RF and microwave measurement applications. Covering a broad frequency range from 9 kHz to 6 GHz with fine resolution bandwidths down to 10 Hz, the FSL6 delivers exceptional sensitivity and measurement accuracy in a benchtop-friendly 8.5 kg package.

Key Features
  • Wide Frequency Coverage: 9 kHz to 6 GHz, ideal for RF component characterization, wireless communications testing, and general lab use.
  • Fine Resolution Bandwidth: 10 Hz to 10 MHz in 1/3/10 steps, enabling detailed spectral analysis and narrowband signal identification.
  • Excellent Sensitivity: Displayed Average Noise Level (DANL) as low as -152 dBm/Hz (typ.) with the built-in preamplifier, allowing detection of weak signals in low-level RF environments.
  • Low Phase Noise: -103 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset (typ., carrier 500 MHz), ensuring accurate measurement of adjacent channel power and close-in spurious emissions.
  • High Dynamic Range: Third-order intercept (TOI) of +18 dBm (typ.) for distortion-free measurements of high-level signals.
  • Total Measurement Uncertainty: Less than 1 dB across the full frequency range, providing confidence in production and R&D test results.
Optional Tracking Generator — R&S FSL-B1

When equipped with the optional FSL-B1 tracking generator (5 kHz to 6 GHz), the FSL6 becomes a scalar network analyzer, capable of measuring transmission and reflection characteristics of filters, amplifiers, cables, and antennas. This makes it a versatile two-in-one instrument for both spectrum and network analysis.

Display and User Interface
  • 8.4-inch TFT SVGA color display (800 x 600 pixels) with clear, high-contrast traces and intuitive menu navigation.
  • Multiple trace modes: Clear/Write, Max Hold, Min Hold, Average, and View.
  • Up to 6 markers with delta marker, noise marker, and frequency counter functions.
  • Built-in measurement functions: channel power, occupied bandwidth, adjacent channel power (ACP), CCDF, and TOI.
Connectivity and Remote Control
  • USB 2.0 host port for external storage and peripheral connection.
  • LAN 10/100 Base-T for network-based remote control via SCPI commands or R&S VISA tools.
  • GPIB (IEEE 488.2) optional interface for integration into automated test systems.
  • Firmware upgradeable via USB or LAN.
Applications
  • RF and microwave component testing (amplifiers, filters, mixers, antennas)
  • Wireless communications R&D and production (cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, IoT)
  • EMC pre-compliance and conducted emission measurements
  • General-purpose lab spectrum analysis and signal monitoring
  • Education and university teaching laboratories
